Two games made at almost the same time that take place in forests.
Forest Bicycle
A powerful owl took up residence in a local park one year. People reported finding half-devoured mice and possum corpses among the orderly rows of cedars and cypresses and pines. The place already had a reputation for being a bit eerie, a bit unsafe. It was not very wide but it stretched from the base of one mountain to the other, separating the city and its suburbs. It was not lit. If you wanted to get home on foot or by bicycle you had no choice but to cross it.
The owl, the haunted woodland, my experiences cycling through it after dark all coalesced in an early morning nightmare which is this game.
Forest Walk
Based on my experiences wandering around in the very early mornings of an otherwise not-very-happy autumn. Making this tiny, quiet thing helped me get through a period of creative paralysis after a very stressful final year of university. Not much happens in it, but it means a lot to me.
This is for some reason the game all my friends know about, even when they know nothing about the others.
